Inquisiting at MomoCon by eitanya
Inquisiting at MomoCon
Here we are in our (mostly) finished Dragon Age Inquisition costumes at MomoCon's craftsmanship contest!  I say mostly finished because we didn't win and I'd like to go back and improve a few things.  Overall I really love how they turned out though!  They were a blast to wear and there were so many DA fans that we met and took pictures with.

Cullen is mah hubby (no seriously,) costume by me
Inquisitor is me, costume also by me
ZombieFishie is hiding back there as Cassandra too.  :D  We'll get more pics soon, I swear!

A cheap and easy stand for displaying armor and costumes!  It seemed a shame to shove Cullen back into a box, and Hawke barely fits in a box, so now they're lurking in my stairwell.  XD
Dragon Age bow and arrow props by eitanya
Dragon Age bow and arrow props
The props for my Dragon Age Inquisition costume, which I will post pics of as soon as I get some nice ones. Bow was modeled on the Bow of Cleansing Fire and made from Sintra and foam core with raised detailing, the handle was wrapped in a faux leather with a reptile texture (I don't know about you, but I spent a lot of time dragon-slaying!)  It's very lightweight, and I also designed it so it comes apart at the handle to make transportation easier.  The quiver is a slightly flattened PVC pipe covered in suedecloth and detailed; arrows were made from wooden dowels, stained, hand-fletched with real feathers, and tipped with foam heads.

If you're interested in commissioning a similar prop, feel free to hit me up!
Nisha the Lawbringer by eitanya
Nisha the Lawbringer
I actually finished this one a while back but didn't get any good pics until now.  :D  I was determined to stretch my "let's make everything out of Sintra" comfort zone, so all the armor and accessories on the costume are foam.  I'm happy with how it turned out, though I do confess I like Lilith more.  ;)

Thanks to Wade Bishop Photgraphy for the pics!…
Gearing up for Pensacon this weekend!  One of my favorite cons last year, I'm so looking forward to it again.  We are all stocked up with hats and scarves and other randomness, and I'm putting the last touches on my husband's cosplay so we can enter the costume contest (along with ZombieFishie!)  This is the biggest contest we've attempted, but I'm super proud of our costumes.  Can't wait to show you guys!  :). If you're in the Florida panhandle this weekend, be sure to stop by and enjoy the sheer awesomeness, we'll be on the third level, booth B5!
